Deans For Impact
Deans For Impact is a national network aimed at transforming the way institutions prepare future teachers and, thereby, improving student learning. TCU has made a three-year commitment to join eleven institutions across the country that prepare nearly 7,000 future educators.
Go Teach provides a pathway for student athletes to enter into the teaching profession. With an alignment between TCU Athletics and the TCU College of Education, this program provides a platform and tools to enable qualified teaching candidates who are ready to make an impact in classrooms across the country.
Holmes Scholars at TCU are part of a network of students from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds and are pursuing doctoral degrees. Members are selected based on their academic achievements and their commitment to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in the field of education.
This program, in partnership with FWISD and TCC, aims to recruit and prepare more Latino male teachers to serve as role models — bringing more “windows and mirrors” to classrooms throughout Texas schools in grades K-12.
