Captured in West Africa in 1761, Phillis Wheatley Peters arrived in Boston as a slave. Twelve years later, she published the first book of poetry by an African American. Day 2, Session 2 - June 1, 1:05 - 2:05pm

Children and teens consume hundreds of hours of digital content each year. What they may not know is that the tools used to create their favorite content is right at their fingertips. Teachers can leverage student interest in digital expression by equipping them with easy-to-use tools and clear strategies for turning their ideas into powerful messages. This session will focus on three tools and strategies for helping find their voice with digital media.
