Speakers

Jamie Dixon just finished his 11th season as head coach of the TCU men’s basketball team and is in his 24thseason as a college head coach.

Dixon, a 2007 TCU Athletics Hall of Fame and 2025 Southwest Conference Hall of Fame inductee, returned to his alma mater on March 22, 2016, after serving 13 seasons as head coach at the University of Pittsburgh. His .669 overall winning percentage entering the 2026-27 season ranks 13th among active head coaches with at least 20 years of experience at the NCAA DI level. With a career record of 527-261, his win total ranks 19th among all active coaches, tied for 13th among active head coaches while at a DI program and ranks sixth as head coach of a power conference team. His TCU record of 199-138 is the second-most wins of any TCU head coach and the most victories in any 10-year period in program history.

A staple in March Madness, Dixon is one of 11 active coaches who have made at least 16 appearances in the NCAA Tournament and one of seven who have done so while at a power conference program. While at TCU, Dixon has been involved in the last six of the Horned Frogs’ 12 NCAA Tournaments. He led TCU to the Big Dance as a player in 1987 and then five times as a head coach in the nine years that a postseason was held.

Dixon, who has earned four college basketball National Coach of the Year honors, including the 2009 Naismith Coach of the Year, previously served as an assistant at Pitt, Northern Arizona, Hawaii and UC Santa Barbara. Dixon is a two-time gold medalist with the USA U-19 team having won as head coach in 2009 and 2021. He was also instrumental in bringing the USA’s U19 team to train in Fort Worth in 2021.

At TCU, Dixon has led the Horned Frogs to many program firsts, including three-straight NCAA Tournament appearances (2022-24) and wins in back-to-back NCAA Tournaments (2022-23). In the 2025-26 season, TCU played in the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in five seasons. The Horned Frogs won a program record 11 Big 12 games and finished conference play winning eight of nine games which were the most conference wins over a nine-game stretch since 1998. TCU also defeated three top 10 teams in a season for the first time in program history.
