We are excited to welcome you to an extraordinary two-day workshop led by Dr. Vicki Johnson and hosted by the TCU McNair Scholars Program. Join us at our charming 295-acre campus, nestled in a picturesque Fort Worth neighborhood adorned with lush trees.

Dr. Vicki Johnson

Dr. Vicki Johnson is Founder and Director of ProFellow™, the world’s leading online resource for professional and academic fellowships. She is a Cornell Class of 2001 alumna, four-time fellow, top PhD scholar, Fulbright recipient, and an award-winning social entrepreneur. She is the Creator of the Fully Funded Course and Mentorship Program for graduate school applicants seeking to find and win full funding for their master’s or doctoral degree. Dr. Johnson is an alumna of the New York City Urban Fellows Program, the German Chancellor Fellowship, the Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship and Fulbright New Zealand. She holds a BA from Cornell University, an MSc from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (UK), and a PhD from Massey University (New Zealand).

  • 9:30 a.m. Workshop with Dr. Vicki Johnson
  • 12 p.m. Networking Lunch (meal provided)
  • 1 p.m. Workshop with Dr. Vicki Johnson
  • 4:30 p.m. End Day 1 Boot Camp
  • 5 p.m. Shuttle to Fort Worth Stockyards (optional)
  • 7 pm/9 p.m. Shuttle to Court Yard Marriott & Hyatt Place-TCU from Stockyards (optional)

FRIDAY, JUNE 7TH  

  • 8:30 a.m. Walking Campus Tour (optional)
  • 9:30 a.m. Workshop with Dr. Vicki Johnson
  • 12 p.m. Graduate Programs Fair & Networking Lunch (meal provided)
  • 1:30 p.m. Workshop with Dr. Vicki Johnson

Participants are invited to enjoy an unforgettable evening in the historic district of Fort Worth known as Fort Worth Stockyards. Experience the charm and excitement of this iconic location, filled with rich history and vibrant entertainment.

Shuttle Departure: 4:45pm at Hyatt Place Fort Worth/TCU & 5:00pm at Courtyard Marriott

Guests will have the opportunity to visit a remarkable collection of shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues of their choice. Whether you're in the mood for unique shopping, delicious dining, or live entertainment, the Fort Worth Stockyards has something for everyone!

Some Attractions include:

Stockyards Championship Rodeo – 7:30pm – Doors open at 6pm. The show features bull riding, tie down roping, team roping, barrel racing, bronc riding and break away roping.

Mechanical Bull Ride – open until 7pm - $9

Rodeo Music Stage – 4:30pm – 7:30pm - The Rodeo Music Stage outside of Cowtown Coliseum offers visitors a free chance to get a feel for the Texas music scene. Up-and-coming local artists are booked each Friday & Saturday representing genres such as country, Texas country & southern rock. Performances are scheduled right before the Stockyards Championship Rodeo starts, so grab a drink and have a blast before you hit the Coliseum!

The Barnyard Petting Corral – open until 7pm - $3 you can feed the animals.
