Center for Public Education Hosts Aspiring Educators

The Center for Public Education and College of Education hosted more than 80 aspiring educators and teachers from Dunbar and Western Hills high schools on TCU’s campus on Tuesday, Nov. 6. Dean Mary Martin Patton spoke to the group, announcing that TCU would waive application fees for any seniors from the group applying to TCU.

The students also toured campus, learned about the university and the college from faculty and staff, and participated in mathematics and science education activities with faculty and graduate students. The Center for Public Education started the event to give aspiring educators in underserved schools an overview of TCU and the field of education.
