Bio

Cynthia Williams is the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies and an Associate Professor of Professional Practice in the College of Education. Her instructional expertise lies in the areas of initial teacher certification at the undergraduate level and in research methodology, quantitative methodology and program evaluation at the graduate level. In addition, Dr. Williams facilitates faculty-led study abroad program in Europe, which draws undergraduate and graduate students alike. She consults and/or has consulted as an evaluator and/or psychometrician for United Way of Tarrant County, Arlington Child Care Council, Successful Practices of New York, Book Trust of Denver, Educational Data Collaborative of College Station, Fort Worth ISD, Dallas ISD, and the University of Texas at Dallas. She received a B.S. in Psychology and Business Administration from Oklahoma State University, a M.Ed. in Elementary Education with additional emphasis in School Counseling from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and a Ph.D. from University of North Texas in Educational Research with primary emphasis in Quantitative Methodology and Applied Statistics. She has taught in both private and public PK-12 schools in Arkansas and California. In addition to serving on various university and college committees, Dr. Williams serves as Faculty Advisory Board Member for TCU’s Study Abroad and Faculty Counselor/Treasurer for the Kappa Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi.
